Accountant  (Forwarder Industry)

Our client is one of the oldest coastal carriers and forwarders in the industry has undergone rapid advancement since its incorporation on April 24, 1984, and has been widely recognized by customers. They also has five joint ventures and three branches. Their business scope covers international shipping agents, NVOCC, transshipment, container consolidation/devanning, international forwarder, and project logistics. Now, they are recruiting one Accountant to join their team.

Duties / Responsibilities for Accountant

  • To handle supplier invoice checking, validation & payments for Hong Kong and Macau office
  • To handle cost review and analysis to improve the cost margin
  • To handle AP process review and improvement
  • To handle T&E checking and posting
  • To maintain and update monthly overhead costs accrual
  • To assist in handling and maintaining Fixed Assets record
  • To issue an invoice to re-charge other Branch Offices for the administration costs
  • To prepare monthly Accounting Balance Sheet Schedules
  • To assist in preparing year-end audit schedules
  • To take up additional assignments/tasks as required to meet the Company’s needs.

 Requirements:

  • Tertiary education in Accounting/ Finance or above
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Experience in the freight forwarder industry is preferred, but not a must
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Knowledge in Forwarder SAP is a must and Cargowise One would be an advantage
  • Good command in both spoken and written English and Chinese(Putonghua)
  • Responsible, self-motivated and team player

5.5 days work, 09:00 – 17:15, Sat 09:00 – 12:00

Company Size – 25 staff

Expected Salary – $25,000 – $30,000 / month

Location: Causeway Bay
