Merchandising Manager – Computer Accessories
Our client is a renowned technology retail company, dedicated to providing customers with the latest and greatest in electronics and home appliances. They have a reputable brand name and a strong presence in the EU market. To support their sourcing activities in Hong Kong, they are currently seeking to hire a Merchandising Manager. Candidates with more experience will be considered for the role of Senior Merchandising Manager.
Responsibility:
- Develop and execute merchandising strategies to maximize sales and profitability of the computer accessories category
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape
- Manage product assortment, including selection, pricing, and inventory management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to ensure effective product launches and promotions
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement and growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and conditions
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities related to computer accessories
- Provide guidance and support to the merchandising team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Proven experience in merchandising, preferably in the computer accessories or technology industry
- In-depth knowledge of merchandising principles, including product assortment planning, pricing strategies, and inventory management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Fluent in Cantonese, English and Mandarin
