Site Manager (Office Projects)

Our client is a leading interior fit-out building contractor in Hong Kong. Their business mainly focuses on renovation services for local and multinational corporations including financial institutions, legal firms, social media conglomerates and more.   

We are now looking for the right talents to join our team to cope with our rapid development.

The Site Manager will oversee the construction and involve leading a team of Project Coordinators and subcontractors to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. While the Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the project team in the coordination and administration of construction projects. The role involves assisting with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting, as well as coordinating project meetings and communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of site supervisors and subcontractors, ensuring that work is completed on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage the project schedule, ensuring that key milestones are met and delivered on time.
  • Ensure safety and regulatory compliance on the site, including enforcing safety protocols and obtaining necessary permits and approvals.
  • Communicate regularly with the client and project team to provide updates on progress, identify and address issues, and manage expectations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring that expenses are kept within budget and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure that work meets the required standards.
  • Manage and resolve any conflicts or disputes that arise on the site.
  • Identify and manage project risks, taking appropriate measures to mitigate or eliminate them.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Building Services, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in construction and fit-out project management, preferably in the Grade A office sector. 
  • Candidates will less experience will be considered as Assistant Site Manager / Project Coordinator.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience leading large teams on construction sites.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address issues in a timely manner.
